Inspiring a lifetime of adventure
Our Year 6 residential trips offer something different from most adventure companies. Rather than rushing children from activity to activity, we know they need time to enjoy their experience. Our year 6 students go home talking of singing around the campfire, enjoying nature and bonding with their classmates.
Our award-winning school trips provide you with time spent in nature away from screens and technology. It’s a chance to bond and work together. Being outdoors is a great boost for their mental and physical health.
“A fabulously engaging and inspiring visit for our children who would not get to experience these activities elsewhere.” Kings Oak Primary School

De Havilland Primary discovered Wildchild after their usual trip provider couldn’t accommodate their large pupil numbers. They loved their trip so much that they’ve booked to come again next year.
De Havilland wanted a camping experience but needed it to feel comfortable and secure. Teacher Helen Hayhoe explained, “It was a relaxed, lovely experience. So many of our children had never been away from home before. Wildchild gave them freedom to explore and have fun but it felt very safe. It was good preparation for secondary school.”
On previous trips they felt disappointed to be left running some activities by themselves. With Wildchild, they discovered that their experienced instructors took care of everything. “They were with us from early morning until late evening and ran everything,” Helen explained, “They were great with the children, fun and friendly with clear boundaries.”
Year six is the perfect time to offer your students a longer residential experience. For many, it’s their first taste of independence and a night away from home.
