Inspiring a lifetime of adventure
Our Year 6 residential trips offer something different from most adventure companies. Rather than rushing children from activity to activity, we know they need time to enjoy their experience. Our year 6 students go home talking of singing around the campfire, enjoying nature and bonding with their classmates.
Our award-winning school trips provide you with time spent in nature away from screens and technology. It’s a chance to bond and work together. Being outdoors is a great boost for their mental and physical health.
“For 32 children from Edmonton to be taken completely out of their comfort zone and have just the best week is a testament to the leadership of the camp staff”. Edmonton Primary School, Year 6

De Havilland Primary discovered Wildchild after their usual trip provider couldn’t accommodate their large pupil numbers. They loved their trip so much that they’ve booked to come again next year. Click to read case study
De Havilland wanted a camping experience but needed it to feel comfortable and secure. Teacher Helen Hayhoe explained, “It was a relaxed, lovely experience. So many of our children had never been away from home before. Wildchild gave them freedom to explore and have fun but it felt very safe. It was good preparation for secondary school.”
There’s no time to be bored on a Wildchild Year 6 adventure! Our trips help your students experience nature with a range of fun, educational activities, fully included in the cost. We’ve carefully designed them to build those skills you want to see back in the classroom. Watch them develop curiosity, independence, confidence and self-belief.
“The children gained independence and were expected to take responsibility for themselves! We were so impressed with how the leaders worked with the children, encouraging them and challenging them equally”. St Mary Magdalen’s, Year 6
