Inspiring a lifetime of adventure
The outdoor centres in which our Adventures are located are carefully chosen for their woodland areas, high quality adventure activities, well maintained onsite facilities and accommodation and accessible locations.
By injecting our passion for the outdoors with the help of our dedicated, experienced Wildchild team, we create our unique formula of fun, adventurous, educational and back to nature adventure days and residentials at each of our locations.
A fully equipped centre set in natural woodland within easy reach of the M1 and M25 makes this an ideal location for schools and groups wanting the back to nature adventure experience without the long travel time.
Comfortable and stylish accommodation is provided by our authentic tented village. Traditional canvas bell-tents with bunk beds sleep 6 children and teachers can enjoy our ‘glamping’ style teachers tents – sleeping a maximum of 2 with partitioned sleeping areas and comfortable air beds.
In the colder months or for groups preferring indoor accommodation we also offer the comfort of dormitory-style lodges. Fully equipped with bunk beds and shower facilities the lodges are surrounded by natural woodlands providing an ideal base for our activities.
We have exclusive use of large woodland areas for our bushcraft and team-building activities, just a short walk from the outdoor adventure activities including climbing walls, zipwire, abseiling tower, potholing, crate stacking, kayaking and many more.
An impressive and uniquely located outdoor situated on the ridge between Chalfont St. Peter and the River Colne in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside.
With a variety of buildings offering comfortable indoor lodge accommodation, and over 44 acres of woodland, the centre provides a great base for a Wildchild outdoor adventure.
The centre provides a wide choice of activities for all ages, including the woodland High Ropes course, offering varied challenging sections to traverse between the trees and an exhilarating ride of almost 100 metres of zip-wire descent making this a true forest adventure.
Situated in the Ashdown Forest in the North of Sussex, midway between the South Coast and London.
The site which is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is almost 400 acres of mixed woodland providing a fantastic setting for our Wild Survivor Bushcraft and team-building activities. In addition the site has a vast number of adventure activities to choose from including Abseiling, Archery, Climbing, High-ropes, Leap-of-Faith, Zipwire and a swimming pool.
Accommodation is provided in purpose-built indoor lodges all with ground and first-floor bedrooms, communal area and male/female toilets and showers.
"Thank you so much for a phenomenal trip – we couldn’t have asked for anything more. All children and staff have not stopped sharing stories about our experience. We’re definitely coming back next year!"
"We had a brilliant three days – a real highlight of the year for children and adults! One teacher summed it up as “the highlight of my career”. The children loved it and are already excited about the next trip"
"Just wanted to thank all the Wildchild team. We had such a great time! Everyone loved it. You have a great team. Everyone is so passionate and our kids felt at home, safe and looked after. They told me on the bus they did not even miss their parents. When you are having fun, time flies!"
"I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you for all the hard work you put in for us this weekend! We had such a good time and the children have been buzzing about it today, despite being very very tired!"
"A fantastic fun packed day with a lovely group of very enthusiastic instructors. Thank you to your team for making our outdoor adventure day such a positive experience."
"When we chose Wildchild to deliver our Year 7 transition residential the idea was for our new pupils to get to know each other, learn to work together and the importance of our natural environment. The trip did all of that and so much more – since returning to school we’ve noticed a real bond among pupils and teachers alike, and a big improvement in communication and teamwork. It was a fantastic experience and we look forward to doing it all again next year!"
