Outdoor Adventure Days - all the excitement of a residential in one action-packed day!

For schools and groups who want all the fun of an outdoor adventure without the overnight stay we offer outdoor adventure days suitable for children from Key Stage 1 and upwards.

Currricular enrichment or simply fun!

Wildchild adventure activity days provide a flexible, low cost alternative to residential visits, making them perfect for younger groups or Key Stage 2/3 age groups looking for a challenging curricular enrichment day or reward activity. Our fully bespoke service means that whatever your objectives, budget, age, or number of children in your group we can design an outdoor adventure day to suit.

There’s a lot you can fit into a day. We’ll work with you to ensure your group will have fun, experience new activities, learn new skills and come away inspired by their adventures

Our adventure programmes take place at outdoor centres selected for their natural woodland settings and access to high quality adventure activities. Situated in the South East of England within easy reach of the M1 and M25 they provide an ideal location for schools and groups wanting the back to nature adventure experience without the extended travel time.

Alternatively for those schools who would prefer we can deliver an outdoor adventure day on your school grounds. With access to suitable indoor and/or outdoor space many activities can be brought to you including our bushcraft survival activities, team-building, archery and non-traditional sports including skateboarding and fencing.

An Adventure to suit your objectives

A Wildchild Outdoor Adventure Day can be tailored to include a range of activities to suit your objectives and could be:.

  • An outdoor adventure challenge featuring activities like climbing, zipwire, abseiling and crate stacking
  • A teambuilding day with outdoor games and activities like orienteering and scavenger hunting to get children working together to reach shared goals.
  • A bushcraft survivor day getting children outdoors learning practical new skills like fire lighting, water filtration, den building and wood carving.
  • A real back to nature day building a love and appreciation of the great outdoors whilst developing key skills to benefit pupils back in the classroom.
  • A themed day to support topics covered in the classroom. The theme could be anything from minibeasts to Robin Hood.  Adding an outdoor adventure element helps give children a new perspective on their school topic and adds a sense of enthusiasm and excitement for their work.

  • "When we chose Wildchild to deliver our Year 7 transition residential the idea was for our new pupils to get to know each other, learn to work together and the importance of our natural environment. The trip did all of that and so much more – since returning to school we’ve noticed a real bond among pupils and teachers alike, and a big improvement in communication and teamwork. It was a fantastic experience and we look forward to doing it all again next year!"
